Caribbean Stud

Carribean Stud

Caribbean Stud has become more popular the last few years especially since the Internet versions have arose. This is also another game where you can make a bet on the side, to win a growing progressive jackpot. While the progressive jackpot may draw people in to play, the odds of winning it are not in the players favor. The house has a 5 percent edge. Yet this does not deter players from swarming this game with hopes of winning.

The game of Caribbean Stud is played at a Blackjack table in the casino or on your computer device. The game has grown from poker and you play against the dealer. You need to know the ranking of the hands to play, which is to know hierarchy of what hand beats another. Once you have learned this you are well on your way.

Carribean Stud - Rules

Play Carribean StudThe game begins with each player makes an ante bet, placed in a circle in front of the player. At this point you can also make a side bet for the bigger jackpot. Each player receives five cards face down. The dealer has one card up and four cards down. After the dealer gets his cards the players can look at all of their cards. Players can continue playing or fold. If the player continues to play his ante is doubled. The player's bet is placed in the bet box.

After all bets are in the dealer reveals his cards. The dealer's hand (hole cards) is then compared to each player's hand. The dealer only plays with and ace or a king. The player's hand that beats the dealer's qualifying hand wins. The rules are pretty standard to all casino table games. The UK has a slightly different variation of the game.

Online Carribean Stud

Online Carribean StudSome say the Internet version is complicated, but it is real easy to learn. On the Internet's version, when the dealer does not have a qualifying hand, the players win money on their bets and their raise. This is called "pushed", which is synonymous with draw. The bets are sent back to the players. If the dealer's hand does qualify and beats the players lose their antes and bets. The dealer needs to have an ace or king for the game to continue. A qualifying dealer's hand must contain two, three, ace or King .

A simple rule to follow is if you do not have an ace or king you should probably fold. The player can check his side bet, if they bet on the bonus. You will need a flush or higher to qualify for any bonus payout.

This game is really for those who just love playing  online casino games and are about not too concerned about winning a lot of money.
