1. Play Set

The best advice when you're playing tournaments and you're on the last position in player's ranking because you don't have enough chips to adopt a "tight", adjusted game. This means that you only have to play the hands that are very good or excellent; pairs, AK, AQ, AJ, KQ or cards that are suited in scale. It's very hard to bear in mind this rule and one will need to be extremely disciplined to carry it out (obviously VERY different from playing online slots).

2. Aggressive play

When you enter a hand that you play, the council number two in order of importance is to bet aggressively. No loose to see that happening, you can make strong bets that all or almost all of your opponents do not go and throw their cards. Each player remaining in the flop is one more chance you have of being beaten, even by those desperate to go to 10-6 or J-4. Anyone can get lucky on the flop so it is vital that you remove as many opponents as possible. Remember that your AK or AQ is nothing more than a hand unless you leave something on the flop thus improved.

3. Do not make an all-in

Many times you'll see players taking decisions as a crazy all-in in the early rounds of a tournament with the most winnings just the blinds. Imagine this scenario: you start with 1500 chips and blinds are at 10/20. You're located in a middle position at the table and have hand-AA. In this case, many players would make an all-in with the hope that someone will see the bet and double the stack of chips. Never do it, is crazy! If no one sees the bet and all folded, you've risked 1500 chips to win just 30, one fiftieth of your stack! If anything, the odds of winning the hand would have been 1 to 3 or 1 to 4 and you've bet on a risky bet of 1 to 50. No good.
